HIGHER EDUCATION FOR PERSONS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS (A PROJECT OF U. G. C.)
The College has set up a ‘HEPSN (Higher Education for  Persons with Special Needs) Centre’ in July 2002 as a part of U. G. C.  scheme to provide special assistance to disabled students to facilitate better accessibility in higher education. The aims of the H. E. P. S. N. Centre are as follows:

  • To provide better educational facilities for handicapped students at the under-graduate level.
  • To facilitate admission of such students.
  • To provide guidance and counselling
  • To provide job opportunities for the educated disabled students.
  • To provide rehabilitation opportunities to them.
  • To create awareness among the people about the special requirements of the handicapped students.
  • To create awareness among the students in the College regarding the need of the Physically disabled students.
The centre would utilize the service of the regular students admitted to the various classes viz. F.Y., S.Y., T.Y. (Arts, Science and Commerce). For this purpose the students who will be identified as having disability of any kind would be the beneficiaries of the unit as well as any such students admitted to the institution / Colleges in the vicinity of South Mumbai region.
